my kind of martini

In case you didn’t know, my 21st birthday is in two weeks.

And I have big plans.

It’s a paper confetti martini! (hat tip to Color Me Katie for creating it  – the pictures are hers, too)

So fun,

so me.

I think I’m going for wild paper martinis and a sip of some classy wine or champagne or something.

And then lots of cupcakes.

I’m just that kind of girl.

Just a heads up. Your twin thinks wine is gross and champagne smells too awful to try. But maybe you’re more sophisticated and will like it 🙂
Am I invited for paper martini’s and cupcakes? That sounds like my kind of party!!!

You’re absolutely invited!! And I mean, I think I’m going to be mostly pretending to be classy and sophisticated. Whether I can manage even a sip is yet to be seen. I’ll probably make some awful face but insist on having it anyway. We have to do something to mark 21, right?? 😛 lots of paper martinis and cupcakes. they’re sweeter and more colorful, anyway!

If you’re classy (un)like me and actually like the taste of wine will you tell me your secret?!

I’ve had small sips of wine twice and I just can’t stand the taste. It’s way too bitter for me. I really haven’t tried any alcohol since I turned 21 last December. I might want to try a rum and coke, but because of the coke, not the rum. ;] Although if I did try it, like it, and finish my drink, I would also enjoy asking, à la Jack Sparrow, “But why is all the rum gone?!”

That said, somebody ought to revoke my right to buy or drink alcohol because CLEARLY I am too immature to do either of these things responsibly. ;]

Bahaha! I’m sorry I just read your comment now, Annie. You’re such a better blogger than me! But I love it.

And, on the wine front: so far I have only have one glass (read: a few sips) of white wine. But I do think it’s better than red wine, thus far. At least, I’m really not a fan of the red wine we dip our bread in at communion. (but fondness for the taste is not remotely the point, right? But between you and me, I still prefer grape juice.)

And I’m with you on the rum and coke bit. Isn’t that called a Shirley Temple? I’m so hopelessly un-knowledgeable. I agree. They should revoke our right to buy or drink alcohol! 😛
