my own apartment? I’m a big girl now!

I’m happy now. Two days, and the pictures and posters are (mostly) up in my room. There is stuff everywhere, but my side of the bedroom is also an explosion of color.

Don’t even ask me about the kitchen or the bathroom yet. Complete disaster zones.

But did I mention that I HAVE A KITCHEN AND A BATHROOM???

And, with all the cooking abilities I now have, I will tell you exactly what I ate from/in my own kitchen today: two clementines. I didn’t feel like dealing with finding/washing dishes to prepare actual food, so lunch was a smoothie and dinner was back in the dining hall. I know, I’m a bit pathetic.

But I love being back at school. I moved in yesterday, went to a birthday party last night, did more moving in today, helped one of my roommates move in, went to Starbucks for the Wi-Fi – and now I’m in one of my friend’s dorm rooms, using her wi-fi, blasting music, and surfing the internet. And having a ball not feeling guilty about not doing work!

I’m expecting the next few days to be crazy, too. First week of classes, first time starting to lead a Bible study, trying to move in/get organized in a house of 6 girls who only kinda sorta know each other, seeing people, not having internet set up –

but if you don’t hear from me, know that I’m probably stressed but having an absolute ball!

isn’t having your own apartment the greatest?! i just moved into my own about a week and a half ago and it’s been fabulous.

how did your first week of classes go?

also, i don’t have your email address, so i’m responding to your comment here. which also, would you mind if i asked for your email? i’m getting ready to buckle down on a huge writing project for which i would greatly appreciate your opinion, and i’m hoping to send an email with the explanation to my blog friends who are writers soon. (however, i also completely understand if you would rather not betray your privacy in this way, and i will not be offended if you choose not to give me your email.)

oh, believe me. i get lost like it’s a profession. at least until i’ve been someplace once. then i actually know how to get there. *shakes head* but yes, so glad that i’m not the only person who is a little spatially challenged!

God, i pray You give wisdom to Megan, to know when to use her words and how. i pray she would speak words of edification and of grace. I pray You would give her the strength to speak up when necessary, but also the strength to keep quiet if that’s what’s called for. May the words You’ve spoken and speak be examples to us of the words we’re called to speak. in Jesus’s name, amen.
