i will miss this

I didn’t know that I could love a company that didn’t make mouse ears and tiaras.

I didn’t know that I could become interested in anything (legal issues surrounding pharmaceuticals and life sciences, anyone?) once I found a good reason (this matters to people!).

As of today, both of my internships are officially over. It’s bittersweet: I’m so happy to be going back to school and seeing my school friends again, and so happy for two weeks to sleep in and not be gone for 12 hours at a time. But I couldn’t have worked with lovelier people. (They bought me lunches and cookies and gave me a good-luck goodie bag and lots of hugs!)

I’m going to miss them.

I’m going to miss the independence of exploring the city all by myself.

I didn’t know how much I would like working. What a fantastic summer!

(even if I haven’t been to the beach yet. And I still have no idea how people work five whole days a week 😛 ).

But even though I’ll miss it – I’m ready to have a slice of summer and then return to the school routine. It will be lovely.

“You can have the town, why don’t you take it?” Well, you took it! And thrived! And eventually you’ll get a job where it doesn’t take so long to get there so you can sleep in some in the morning :-P. Then you’ll survive working five days a week!
