things i love

1| Dresses.  I love dresses.  And I think these three from Modcloth are particularly dreamy.  Why don’t they ever make things in petites?

Oh, and if they couldn’t be cuter, they also have adorable names.  How about the Ladies Who Lunch dress:

And the Frozen Lake Dress:

And the Kettle Corn dress in Coral

For the record, coral and periwinkle are two of my favorite colors.  And my clothing budget has exactly eighty-eight cents in it.  Sigh.  And I don’t really care whether the above would be flattering or long enough or perfectly modest on anyone.   I just want you to admire their cuteness with me.  Thank you.

2|  I also love the tantalizing books spilling over my comfy chair.  So many delicious titles to read during break: Walking on Water, Caring for Words in a Culture of Lies, Orthodoxy, Love, Lucy, A Brief History of Time.  The latter is some philosophical book that Ben promised would explain quantum physics.  (Engineers, you can stop feeling horrified at my understanding of it).  I may only read the back cover, choosing to delve instead into Rebecca (for the fifth time) or my sister’s Real Simple magazines or something.  But when I feel like learning and Deep Thinking – it’s there. 🙂

3|  I love that our women’s volleyball team just won their fourth straight National Championship.  Go us!

4|  I love that tomorrow I get to go to an advent church service.  (You know, one with a real advent wreath and at least the barest mention that it is, actually, the fourth Sunday of advent).  I’ve missed that.

5|  I love that my little sister lavishes grace when I don’t deserve it, drawing me pictures and writing “I Just Love You” on them even when I’m grumpy.

6|  I love that my big sister is home again.

7|  I really, really love my bedroom.  And especially my bedding:

And now, I’m off to go crawl into it.

Cheers,

Megan
