keeping things in perspective?

It’s cold.

Like, windshield equals negative degrees cold.  The Megan-wears-a-sweatshirt-to-bed and layers-five-shirts-and-a-sweater cold.  (But at least the sun is out!  And it’s not snowing!  Bitter wind is miserable, but bitter wind blowing snow in your face is worse).

My meteorology professor offered this nugget of wisdom this morning: “I know it’s cold out, people, but let’s keep things in perspective!  The record in 1977 was -10 degrees.  This is nowhere near that.  10 degrees may be cold, but we’re not even close to setting a record!”

Actually, I don’t care a whole lot about the record.  I just care that it’s cold!

Which makes me feel more tired, which isn’t helpful when I should be doing work.

But I think first I’ll bundle up to run across the street and pick up a package.  Whee!

(side note: I absolutely cannot wait until spring.  The end).
