In which we faint

Yes.  Well.  Next time I’ve got to figure out a way to maneuver this a bit more.

I’ve always thought it would be kind of fun to faint – “fun” as in the drama that would entail and other such things.  But let me tell you, fainting is not much fun when you are all by yourself in the bathroom and all the sudden you realize that you don’t know how you got where you are.  (I’m fine.  Don’t worry).

Note to self:  Next time, try fainting in the student union.  Or the dining hall.  Or something…well, more dramatic

Oh well.

So yesterday I came down with this cough thing, but I took a lot of meds and went to bed super early (like, before 11) and figured that if I slept a lot I’d be fine this morning.  Obviously, I wasn’t.  After the whole fainting-incident, I emailed my professor and apologized for missing this important class.  And went back to bed.

I’m doing okay now.  I have a headache, and am feeling very, very weak, but the cough isn’t even bothering me as much as yesterday, and there’s been no more fainting or nausea or anything.  Which is very, very good.

I’m a little bummed to be missing the Cru fall retreat this weekend – Kelly and I were to go, and now she’ll be going herself, and I’ll be here laying low in hopes that I can beat this thing by Monday.  Oh well.  This weekend is parent’s weekend, but maybe they’ll be something interesting going on that I can do tomorrow.  Or I’ll just chill and watch movies and try not to be sorry for myself (better it happen this weekend than any of the past weekends, or any of the next weekends, when I’ll be going home or watching the homecoming football game or going on the Navs fall retreat, after all).

Being so tired I actually stay in bed most of the day is quite a new experience for me, but maybe not a bad one.  Gives me a lot of time for prayer, at least!   And maybe writing letters, if I feel up to it.  And watching the good ‘old Disney channel!

Kelly just ran out to get a package – I’m excited.  She has the sweetest older sister, and Tiffany just sent her a box full of fall decorations.  Wheee!  So we’ll decorate our dorm before she goes on the retreat tonight.  (And we are going to have a spectacular Christmas dorm, by the way.  I’ve already got a little tree….and lots of decorations….)

And that is all for now!  You may hear a lot from me over the weekend, if I get so bored and blog because I have nothing else to do.

Have a beautiful weekend!

grace & love,

Megan

I hope you are all better by now. And what a disappointment to miss the retreat!
