Christmas, Life, and Scrapbooking

Wow, this past week has been rather hectic.  But I do love the Christmas season!

This post, rather than rattling off researched information, was simply to post this cute button:

I’m a scrapbooker.  I have a little sister.  This is a giveaway.  I am excited. =)

This week’s tidbit quote is courtesy of Claire Berlinski’s biography of Margaret Thatcher, “There Is No Alternative”:  She was urged to receive a “notorious Congolese Communist…[and] no sooner had the hapless Marxist seated himself in her drawing room than she fixed him with an acid glare.  She introduced herself with these words: ‘I hate communists.’

“Mortified, the translator rendered her comments thus: ‘Prime Minister Thatcher says that she has never been wholly supportive of the ideas of Karl Marx.’  One trusts that from her expression the visitor nevertheless guessed where he stood.” (47)

And coming very soon (like, tonight or tomorrow) –  this week’s million-dollar question:

Why can we make cars successfully in Alabama but not in Detroit?
